- To understand your role and responsibilities as a care worker with respect to the joint ERYC and ERYCCG medication policy
- To be aware of Legislation and Guidance governing medication management
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the administration of medication within your role.
- Identify the correct recording of medication administration.
- List key legislation and guidance.
- Discuss the joint ERYC and ERY Place (formerly ERYCCG) policy for Community Services.
- Consider the issue of consent, independence and capacity.
- Explain what you would do if you had any concerns over medication.
- Discuss medication errors.
- The virtual training will also include discussions based on your knowledge so far and there will be opportunities to apply your learning in practice based scenario activities.
