Section outline

    • Can I complete a face-to-face course instead?

At the present we are not running any face-to-face courses for this topic.  We will review this on a rolling basis, which will consider the current COVID-19 guidance and also the viability of offering a face-to-face option.

Is the eLearning available on ASC LeadER?

No.  We no longer have a approval to use the eLearning Module that we were using on ASC LeadER.  Therefore, we have sought alternative arrangements and are now using the one provided by Virtual College.

Can I use the same account details?

The eLearning from the Virtual College runs on their Learning Management System and needs its own account.  The username on this system will always be your email address (the one that was provided when your account was requested).   You can choose to set the password to the same one you use for ASC LeadER, but this is something you need to do as we cannot set passwords.

I have forgotten my password, can you reset it?

The password reset function runs on a self-service basis only.  You need to use the Forgotten your password? option on the login screen for the Virtual College and provide your email address (the one that was provided when your account was requested).  You will then be sent an email to reset your details.

Can I access the eLearning Module without an Account, like I can with some of the Modules on ASC LeadER?

No.  You must have an Account on the Virtual College Learning Management System to access the eLearning Module.  This is because we have to pay for every Module that is used and access has to be controlled / monitored.

Do I need to complete a Confirmation of Completion?

No.  Your learning will be tracked by the Virtual College Learning Management System and details of successful achievement will be notified on a 7 to 10 day basis to the Quality TAs.

I have completed the Module but it is now showing as complete, can it be recorded as complete?

The eLearning Module will automatically record that it is complete once all the learning is accessed and the assessment is successfully passed.  If it is not showing as complete, it means that something has been missed or you have have not passed the assessment.  Therefore, you need to return to the Module and complete the missing areas and / or the assessment.
